IPL (Intense Pulse Light) explains the use of intense pulses of incoherent light with high energy and a broad wavelength, ranging from 420 nm to 1200 nm. In this technology, intense pulsed light with a broad spectrum affects pigmentation, broken capillary vessels, and hair follicles. Specific wavelength ranges target different chromophores in the skin. The machine is a combination of IPL and Q-Switched ND YAG Laser, making two treatments possible at a time. With numerous features making it a multifunctional beauty machine. It used OPT (optimal pulse technology) for faster hair removal. Laser probes of 535 nm (output green light for removal of colorful/brown tattoos and birthmarks) and 1064 nm (output yellow light to remove black/cyan tattoos).
Working
The broad spectrum pulsed light emitted by the laser is transmitted through a continuously cooled applicator that is placed over the skin. The cut-off filters present in the handpiece change the range of wavelengths. It optimizes the laser for different applications and skin types. The light emitted penetrates the tissues. Then the light is absorbed by the relevant chromophores and damages them. It targets blood chromophores when treating vascular lesions and melanin chromophores in the treatment of pigmented lesions. OPT filtered violet light and infrared light radiates and absorbs water from the target skin. Then the natural process of the body clears the lesion debris. It gives the skin a more even and youthful appearance.
